IBMA and Upcoming Shows

Hello Everyone,
We had a wonderful week in Nashville for the IBMA convention. It is always great to see our friends and fans at the year’s biggest bluegrass gathering and to perform at the convention center for Fanfest.
It was a great honor to be on the list of finalists for Emerging Artist again this year. To be nominated by our peers means a lot to us and we thank each and every one of them. While in Nashville we got to be on WSM radio the morning of the awards show with Bill Cody for a interview and to perform a few songs. The band will be going back to Nashville in a few weeks for a live radio show with Mike Terry at The Station Inn. We will do a live interview and performance from 5 til 7 pm on WSM 650 am. We’ll let you know more details on that soon.
It’s good to be home for the next week or so for before we hit the road again. While we are home we have a few local performances that mean a lot to us.
Tonight we will be at the Cleveland Country Fair in Shelby, NC at Weathers Arena at 7:00 pm. This fair is one of the biggest in the State. http://clevelandcountyfair.com/ and we had a great time performing there last year.
This Friday join us at the Schiele Museum’s “Home on the Range Backcountry Bluegrass Bash” fundraiser in Gastonia N.C. Our good friends at Sun Drop are a major sponsor for the event and we join them in supporting this wonderful museum of natural history. For more info check out WWW.schielemuseum.org
Next week we have the privilege to be on a show at the Don Gibson Theater Thursday Oct 11th in Shelby to honor a dear friend, Dr. Bobby Jones. Our community is coming together along with the folks at the Cleveland County Arts Council’s annual Art of Sound Festival for a special performance featuring musicians who played with Dr. Bobby over the years. I think most people know how important Dr. B was to our community, and especially to Brooke and I. I always considered Bobby to be family and I know he felt the same way. He was a good man who leaves a great legacy. Please come out for this show and help us honor his memory. All ticket revenues will go to the Arts Council.
Thanks and God Bless
Darin and Brooke
