Darin and Brooke;
Don’t know if you can receive WNCW 88.7 in Spindale, NC or not but they have a Bluegrass show on Saturday afternoons from 12 to 7 PM…if you can’t receive them on your radio, I think you can listen in via the World Wide Web…they’re deicating today’s show to Dr. Bobby Jones which I think is really nice.
In all honesty i’m not the biggest fan of Bluegrass that you might know, but I enjoy listening to it when it is played by people who are skilled at playing it and know what they are doing, like you all. I have been to several local Bluegrass festivals in years past when I played electric bass in the band, and I got so tired of trying to play with a bunch of musicians who were 3 or 4 sheets to the wind. Kind of turned me off to the whole scene. But later after I quit playing in the band I found out that Bluegrass pickers absolutely hate an electric bass…but funny no one ever said anything to me about it in the years that I played with the bands. Oh well…go figure.
stay cool!
Roy
By the way…the WNCW website is http://www.wncw.org , since WNCW is housed on the Isothermal Community College campus in Spindale.
we heard then for the first time friday 8/31/12 they are incredible…
they have it all, they can play country, gospel, and they have all the band memebers to play bluegrass. we really enjoyed the show.
LOVE the new video!

Love this video and Corn is one of my favorite songs. I am from Averty County and was very good friends with Perry Woodie who played in my wedding. I now live in Belmont. Can’t wait to hear you in concert. Keep up the great singing.
