Hey everyone…sorry it’s been a while since we last posted on the blog, but we’ve been hard at work for about the past 2 months. Some of you may wonder what we’ve been up to? Well, starting the last two weeks in April, we began to work on a new project, and it just so happens that it is finally done! Darin actually just made the final touch-ups on Monday. We are so excited about this new project and can’t wait for everyone to hear it! We feel it’s our best project yet and has something to offer everyone. From the songs that represent our marriage and love for one another, to those snuggle up duets, along with those really quick and toe-tapping grass tunes, and lets not forget the reason we sing and play in the first place….those songs that represent and display the love of our Lord and Savior. This new CD is sure to leave you smiling, no matter what kind of day you’re having!

We have three special guests on this record.

The first is Country Music Legend and Hall of Famer Tom T. Hall. Tom T. joins Darin and me on a song that was written by Tom T., along with his sweet wife Miss Dixie. This song is going to bring a smile to your face as you listen and allow yourself to think about your own little world. Right away you’ll realize Tom. T’s signature sound in the song as you listen to the well written and arranged lyrics along with his legendary voice.

The second guest is the very talented Nashville musician and Blue Highway dobro player Rob Ickes. You will hear his distinct dobro licks on every song that plays starting at song one and ending on song twelve. Rob dedicated much of his time during the making of this album, and we want to say thank you for making the album sound even more incredible with your amazing talent.

The third guest is our great friend and producer Nashville veteran and amazing song writer Jerry Salley. Jerry not only contributed four songs to this record, but he also joined Darin and me on some of the harmony parts.

Thanks to each of these special guests for their time and efforts that went forth in the making of this project…we couldn’t have done it without you!

The title is picked, the pictures are done and the cover/booklet for the album is in progress as we speak. We don’t have an exact release date, but we can tell you it will be around the end of July/early August when you can have one in your hands.

Darin and I would also like to say thank you to our amazing band who brought life and energy to this project. Your hard work and dedication show in this album and it’s because each of you that we can make the music we love.

To each and every friend and fan we can’t wait for you to hear the new project…we appreciate all the love and support you show each of us and hope this CD brings lots of happiness to your ears and hearts! We’ll be keeping you posted on the release date along with a great CD release celebration that will also take place July 30 at the Cleveland County Fairgrounds.
