Recording a new album!

When we decided to make a new album, the first thought that came to mind was, “Why change a winning combination?” It will be on the Mountain Home label from Crossroads Music, and we are teaming up with Jerry Salley once again for our producer. Having Jerry available to guide and mentor us through the process of selecting, arranging and recording the songs gave us the confidence to go back into the studio. He not only brings out the best of your talent, he inspires you to put more of yourself into each song. His style fits with our style and we just love and appreciate him so much.

Our 2010 album with Jerry Saley certainly produced a good result. It spent time at number one or in the top five on several bluegrass and roots music charts and topped the Sirius/XM play list in August.

Some of the song writers are Jerry and some of his Nashville co-writers such as Lisa Shaffer, Sidney Cox, Scott Patrick and the great Tom T. and Dixie Hall

Recording with us on this album is our full time band. Our banjo player, Chris Bryant, has been with the band since day one. We have two newcomers, bass player Dwayne Anderson (a very talented musician and student at ETSU), and fiddler and great personality Rachel Renee Johnson. Our special guest on the recording is Rob Ickes on dobro; it has been a pleasure getting to work alongside him on another exciting project!

Just like with the last album, we promise that there won’t be any killing, cheating or cussing in any of the songs. We prefer to live on the sunny side of the street and sing songs about love and our faith. There will be a mix of secular and gospel material that ranges from country Duets to slower sweet songs to toe-tapping, up-tempo pieces that get your blood flowing.
