I know you hear this every single time I see you two, but I must tell you once again how very proud I am of you! Reading about all your successes, nominations, fundraising efforts!, etc., lets me know you will always be the kind of stars people look up to. Keep up the wonderful work!

Just remembered a song for you
"I Wasn't Meant to Live My Life Alone" a duet by Tammy Wynette and Vince Gill on her "Higher Ground" album - has a beautiful mandolin playing I could just hear Brooke - and of course the Vince parts sound just like Darin
also, Vince Gills First top ten was the duet with Roseanne Cash that nobody remembers called "If It Weren't For Him" also tasty
I really like however that you have found new songs that sound like classics, so you can make them classic!

Hi Kids,
I'm a recent fan but have fallen hard!
saw you in Boone Last week ... both shows were stellar! I got to chat with you both a couple of times
maybe Brooke can add some vocal enhancement to Powderfinger when you do it
Darin, the other thing that struck me during my Vince Gill deja vu was that of an angel singing in my ear. You are cool and you are both angels
I can't get "The sweetest waste of time" off of repeat You guys really nailed it! Casey Chambers
wrote it for you guys, really, her version was really a demo tape for you all. Has Sweetest Waste of time been released as a single? There are so many good songs on the new album! Thanks for authentically re-inventing the male/female duet , by a couple who really are in heavy love with each other, no less. Instead of faking as a couple like Dolly and Porter Conway and Lorretta ect. Most famous duets have been pairings of voices, not souls. the magic that occurs when you guys sing together is enhanced and made more true to the listener by the fact that you really are that fond of one another.
The other song I can't get enough of is the Tom T Hall song. so clever and meant for the radio!
It's funny, I also have a Casey Chambers personal encounter about 15 years ago at Merlefest.
anyway, best of luck to you both- you are rising stars! Big things are ahead!

Darin,
I enjoyed the show at Morganton on July 04. Also, I know you were thrilled to play with Paul WIlliams.

Brooke and Darin,

We are SO excited for you and proud of your incredible work and talent! We are going to miss having you so close to home when everyone else out there finds out how great you are and results in your traveling everywhere else! There will be so many happy people though who get to hear what we already have...

All the best,

Emily

Charles, the text sometimes does not display correctly in old browsers. I'd like to suggest that you install a modern browser, Firefox (http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/) or Chrome (http://www.google.com/chrome). There's probably a 95% or better chance that this will solve it, but if for whatever reason it doesn't, certainly let me know. Thanks!
